Uncle Nicky Records (finally) officially launching

After about six months of planning, partial launches, one (vinyl) release, a move, a wedding, a couple new jobs, and the rest of life, Uncle Nicky Records will officially be launching in about one week from today. Brought on in part by the fire burning under our asses sparked by the label’s second release, Mason Porter’s debut full-length CD, we will have an eStore, a web presence that doesn’t change on a whim, a bit of organization around here. Mason Porter also provided the A side to the “Wedding 7 Inch” (with Chris Kapser) and have an earlier EP-length CD.

We are putting the finishing touches on the payment thing right now. Having run a net.label for five years, we have plum no idea about the money stuff, but we’ll get it going here soon. For the time being, we will process it all via PayPal. Not the most ideal or streamlined, it is the least shady method we can set up currently.

Uncle Nicky Records will be attempting to release two releases every year. We are a non-profit record label. All proceeds (if and when we get some) go on to fund future projects. It is our intention to produce a self-sustaining record label. It currently is not. We also take donations.

Thanks,

Colin (Uncle Nicky Records/Cornslaw Industries)
